CONCRETE HEAVING REPAIR

Wilmington, IL

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Corrected floor heaving that caused emergency exit mandoors and overhead freight doors to stick and wedge shut, restoring safe and reliable egress throughout the facility.

  • Reestablished full use of freezer warehouse doors, allowing uninterrupted material movement and normal warehouse operations.

  • Completed concrete repairs within a food-grade, temperature-controlled environment, coordinating work between a -5° freezer and an adjacent refrigerated warehouse.

  • Installed a concealed insulated wall below grade to separate freezer and refrigerated zones; the design was documented, reviewed, and approved by the client prior to construction.

  • Eliminated uneven floor conditions that were causing excessive wear and frequent replacement of forklift wheels, reducing ongoing maintenance costs.

  • Delivered critical functional and safety improvements with minimal visual impact, as the majority of the work is hidden below grade.

  • Demonstrated Clarion Construction’s ability to diagnose complex facility issues, coordinate specialized trades, and execute precise concrete repairs in active industrial environments.

  • Provided a durable, long-term solution that improved floor stability, door performance, and overall facility reliability.
